Product Designer

Job Description

Purpose of the Job - 

You will join the company's experience design team and work as part of one of our cross-functional squads, collaborating with a
talented team of Actuaries, Design Researchers, Product Managers, Engineers and Product Designers to solve problems
for and add value to our users, allowing us to evolve underwriting intelligently and unlock massive scale.
You will be given a wide remit to apply your talents and specialities, grow and evolve your craft.

Most importantly, you will help shape our team, our processes and the way we utilise Design within the company.
As a Product Designer, you will work closely with the Senior Product Designer and User Researcher, leveraging insights
to turn complex problems into intuitive solutions for our customers. You will dig deep to understand our customers
needs, behaviours and motivations. You will participate/run ideation workshops, explore, benchmark, prototype, test,
design and handoff usable and impactful product experiences that entice and help our users do their best job.

 Principle Accountabilities - 

Take responsibility for the design backlog for the end to end company user experience

• Establish best design best practices across people, processes, and tooling
• Work with our product teams to support in solving user problems with industry-leading UX/UI design
• Communicate design concepts for digital products through various artefacts such sketches, wireframes, user
flows, screen designs and interactive prototypes
• Use design to engage and inspire our users and internal stakeholders. Work with product leadership and tech
leadership to ensure the company's strategy, business goals and experience quality are in sync.
• Work closely with PMs, Engineers, Data scientists & research to see the design through from concept to
execution.
• You will need to balance setting a clear long-term design vision whilst being pragmatic to deliver iterative
enhancements that realise value fast.
• Iterate the design of existing features to support usability testing to improve usability and accessibility
• Work with existing brand guidelines and make recommendations for improvements where necessary
• Explain, discuss and justify design decisions effectively; give design feedback.
