6 Months Contract - £600pd (Inside/umbrella)
Reading/Leatherhead - 2/3 per week

The current system will undergo a hardware and software refresh to remain in a supportable position. A key aspect of the refresh is the use of automation in the deployment and testing of the solution to each environment. This presents an opportunity for interested individuals to be part of taking this existing critical system to the next level of maturity.
The role:
As a member of one of several small (2-3) member workstreams you will be responsible for upgrading, and automating the install, for multiple applications for deployment across multiple environments.
The existing custom developed .NET applications will be uplifted to a more recent version of Visual Studio and rebuilt to use the latest supported versions of libraries and other supporting code. These applications will be tested against the newer Operating Systems and, if necessary, adjustments applied.
The goal is to move to an automated deployment approach and will require each application to be automated in its installation via the use of configurable PowerShell DSC/Ansible. This approach will be used to deploy the various applications through multiple environments.
The role will require attendance several days per week at one of the programme’s office locations in Leatherhead and Reading.
