- Description
- Your primary focus will be to help with the delivery of new features, code corrections, and custom reports in our flagship application, Synergy2. To be successful, you will need a good working knowledge of a range of programming languages, the ability to learn new technologies quickly, and the enjoy working in a team environment.
As a high-potential Entry-Level Software Engineer, you will provide valuable support during all phases of the software development lifecycle whilst continuously improving your own development skills.
Key Result Areas
1. Contribute to the codebase building and delivering new product functionality
1.1. Full stack development, working on all aspects of the system, including front-end, api’s, and databases
1.2. Collaborate with senior software engineers to design, implement, and fix new software solutions
1.3. Learn the codebase and provide input into solutions through regular code reviews
2. Contribute to client customisation requests
2.1. Build reports using Business Objects and Pan Intelligence
2.2. Code small-scale client customisations according to the stated design
2.3. Provide fixes for bugs found in production & UAT
3. Work alongside domain experts to assist in supporting the technical solution
3.1. Investigate technical issues reported by clients and provide solution recommendations
3.2. Increase monitorability and supportability of the Synergy2 system, where required
3.3. Recommend and build automated / unit tests designed to discover similar problems earlier in the software development lifecycle
4. Collaborate with the rest of the development team to continuously improve the team’s process & practices
4.1. Embrace and adapt to the transition from a waterfall methodology to an agile / lean environment
4.2. Participate in agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, planning sessions, and retrospectives
4.3. Contribute to the team KPIs & scorecards through proper use of tooling and the team’s kanban board
5. To undertake any other duties within your skills confidence to support the attainment of Eurobase’s key objectives and values
5.1. Ensure continuous improvement of role and development of self
5.2. Seek to continuously improve the quality and value of outputs by working with key colleagues
6. Responsible for positively contributing to a safe work environment ensure compliance with H&S. Protect all personal information in adherence with GDPR etc
6.1. Complete all mandatory training and any corporate refresher training where required
