- The main objectives of the role are to: - Act as lead on projects to deliver high quality solutions to our clients. - Produce designs and lead project team to implement changes that achieve a high level of client satisfaction, delivering on time, within budget and to a high standard. - To deliver solutions into the client and 3rd party Data Centres, to meet planned timescales. - Duties will also include ensuring support documentation is produced to reflect any solutions delivered. - Change control procedures are to be adhered to at all times. The successful candidate must be able to work on own initiative and act as technical lead to consultants and engineers working on the projects . There will be a need to work in the clients Office, home based or on customers sites on occasions. The role requires the candidate to: - Develop and own Low Level Designs. - Identify, assess and mitigate technical issues and risks. - Provide feedback on HLD reviews where subject matter area is impacted, e.g. viability, product selection, best practice - Perform out of hours change work as and when required. - Provide documentation and information to hand servers over into BAU - Have in-depth knowledge of Windows Server architecture ranging from legacy (Server 2003) to currently supported versions up to 2019. - Demonstrable experience in W2012 upgrades an advantage. - VMWare essential. The candidate must: - Have the ability to Write and communicate Low Level Designs and proposals. - Maintain client security and documentation standards. - Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
