Description
As a Risk Management Consultant, you will be a key member of the clients Banking Team. This position is responsible for providing risk advisory to front office and risk management departments.

You will be required to actively partake in the daily market risk management and credit risk management activities, as well as implement the regulatory capital directives and quantify their impact.

A firm grasp of market risk management, credit risk management, and the various regulatory components such as FRTB, CCR, IRRBB, credit risk and CVA risk are essential.

The client has offices in the UK, US, Switzerland and South Africa, servicing international clients in the financial industry. The position requires occasional business travel for on-site client engagements.



Key requirements:

• At least 3 to 5 years’ experience in an investment banking, hedge fund, or related environment.
• Strong quantitative and technical abilities in market risk management and credit risk management.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts clearly to business clients and present proposals in a clear, concise, and consistent manner.
• High degree of initiative, dependability, as is the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task and interact with a variety of people.
• Flexibility to travel across Africa and beyond.
