We are looking for a Project Manager to support our business growth. This is a great opportunity to work for a company that has exciting growth opportunities with an established pipeline for new business both in the UK and internationally. Eurobase is delivering sustained growth and we are looking for an effective Project Manager to ensure this continues and accelerate where possible.
THE ROLE:
The role of Project Manager is responsible for the successful and effective delivery of external and internal projects, with particular focus on delivery within timescales, budgets and quality requirements. Taking functional requirements specifications through the development process to end user testing, installation, data conversion and operational running while setting and maintain realistic client expectations.
The role is also expected to run one or more workstreams for a given Project Lead and/or Senior Project Manager.
You will operate as part of a PMO team,working in a hybrid model using either our London or Chelmsford offices on a regular basis. You will also need to visit client sites on a regular basis, as well as engaging with them through the use of Microsoft Teams.
Project experience is essential, providing key support, or management of, a number of successful projects and be able to demonstrate an understanding of project lifecycle and governance in a complex software/cloud environment.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT:
• Lead and manage end-to-end projects or workstreams, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. Following the Eurobase Project Lifecycle process.
• Develop project plans, including milestones, tasks, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Attends meetings / stand-ups. Understand the delivery process and governance, and apply this to projects, CRs and work streams in support of Senior Project Managers.
• Ensure project reporting meets with the defined Project Lifecycle reporting requirements.
• Ensure budget position is understood and tracked accurately. Ensure that performance against budget for all project related activities can be measured and where overruns occur, ensure that the reasons for this are clearly understood and can be communicated.
• Carry out retrospectives / lessons learnt sessions recording the outcomes. Highlight lessons that should be considered for remedial work or positive lessons to take forward into future projects.
GOVERNANCE:
• Internal Communication - Ensure regular internal project boards are facilitated with accompanying documentation.
• External Communication – Carry out regular client communications. Dependent on the project, this may include weekly status meeting and monthly steer co's. Agree make up of project team with the Operations team.
• Quality - Ensure that the end product meets the client’s success criteria. Confirm customers sign off system after acceptance (before “live” use).
CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION:
• Project Delivery, matrix manage project teams for which you have responsibility on a day-to-day basis, define responsibilities and objectives for key project resources, co-ordinate workloads and set priorities with cross functional teams as required for the allocated projects.
• Collaborate with business, product and technology teams, both internally and externally to define project requirements to meet agreed scope and plan deliverables.
• Operational, feed into sessions reviewing operational resource and capacity status.
• Work with teams outside of the PMO to aid in project delivery.
Responsible for positively contributing to a safe work environment ensure compliance with H&S. Protect all personal information in adherence with GDPR etc
• Complete all mandatory training and any corporate refresher training where required.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Essential Desirable
Qualifications
Bachelors degree or Masters in technical / business related field
Relevant experience
Minimum of 2 years’ experience of project support and management of software implementations in a structured, developmental & delivery environment.
Experience working within a recognised project governance process such as PRINCE2, ITIL.
Experience of delivering within the financial sector.
Experience working with external clients and managing their expectations.
Experience of data conversions/migrations.
Aptitude, skills and abilities
Solid understanding and practitioner of recognized project governance processes such as PRINCE2, ITIL.
