We’re supporting a leading financial services organisation on an urgent requirement for a hands-on Sub‑Ledger Business Analyst to join a Finance & Audit technology programme.
This is a delivery-focused role for someone who can run workshops, drive requirements to “definition of ready”, work across multiple IT teams, and support end-to-end testing through to implementation.

- Start date: 1 September 2026 (preferred)
- Location: London (City)
- Working pattern: 4 days per week onsite
- Rate: Up to £550 per day (Inside IR35 / PAYE via umbrella)
What you’ll be doing
- Running requirements gathering workshops with senior stakeholders and technical teams
- Producing clear, testable requirements (user stories / BRDs / traceability) that meet Definition of Ready
- Coordinating across multiple IT teams to ensure solution alignment and delivery momentum
- Mapping requirements to proposed solutions to ensure end-to-end completeness
- Supporting testing of a finance sub‑ledger product end-to-end, including UAT support and defect triage input
- Working closely with finance stakeholders to ensure outputs are understood and usable at CFO level
Skills & experience required

- Exposure to two separate finance sub‑ledger programmes (e.g., different implementations / transformations)
- Strong understanding of financial services products and associated accounting rules
- Strong knowledge of daily / month-end / year-end finance processes
- Solid understanding of finance data and regulatory expectations around finance/audit data
- Strong data analysis capability (including SQL-style querying / working with large datasets)
