The Role

We are seeking a backend-focused Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to help build production-grade systems that solve real business problems.

You will work across the full technology stack, from designing APIs and optimising database queries to developing frontend features and real-time functionality.

This is a product-focused engineering position where you will own features end-to-end, from architecture and implementation through to deployment. You will collaborate closely with designers, stakeholders, and users to deliver impactful solutions. 

Responsibilities

Backend Development

• Design and maintain scalable APIs using modern Python frameworks.
• Architect services using layered design principles.
• Optimise database performance and query efficiency.
• Build background processing and asynchronous workflow systems.
• Implement authentication, authorisation, and role-based access controls.
• Design scalable APIs incorporating caching, pagination, and rate limiting.

Frontend Development

• Develop and enhance modern web applications using React and TypeScript.
• Build responsive user interfaces and user-focused workflows.
• Implement real-time functionality and collaboration features.

Integrations & Automation

• Integrate third-party services and cloud platforms.
• Develop document generation and processing capabilities.
• Work alongside AI specialists to integrate intelligent functionality into user workflows.
• Build webhook and event-driven architectures.

Production Operations

• Monitor application performance and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
• Optimise system performance and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews and engineering best practices.

Requirements

Backend Experience

• 5+ years' experience developing production web applications.
• Strong Python development skills.

Frontend Experience

• Strong React and TypeScript experience.
• Understanding of modern frontend patterns and architecture.

• Solid CSS skills.
