To strengthen our teams at multiple locations, we are looking for a Security Engineer. In this newly created role, you will identify current threats and incorporate appropriate measures into our high-tech system landscape. Interested in DevOps topics as well? We are looking forward to your application!WHAT WILL YOU ACHIEVE WITH US?
- Proactively identify security gaps and handle tasks such as pentesting, secure data exchange, identity and access management (IAM/PAM), network access control, and intrusion detection in our complex system landscape.
- Play an active role in continuously improving our high security standards following our new ISO 27001 certification, contributing to information security and data protection.
- Support the IT infrastructure team in further developing the entire system landscape with components such as Azure Cloud, VMware, and Windows Server, and assist with upgrades and new system integrations.
- Increase the efficiency of our Windows environment by scripting clever automation solutions with PowerShell. If interested, help maintain the Oracle and MSSQL databases and participate in monitoring and logging with PRTG.
- Take on tasks related to DevOps engineering by expanding the Kubernetes clusters in an interdisciplinary manner together with the development department.
WHAT DO YOU BRING WITH YOU?
- A degree in systems engineering and extensive professional experience as a systems engineer with a focus on security issues.
- Experience in classic systems engineering and responsibility for complex security projects, ideally with certifications in cyber security or relevant training.
- A networked mindset, understanding the complexity of system landscapes with technologies such as Windows operating systems, VMware, Azure Cloud, Oracle, MSSQL, and PowerShell scripts.
- A team player who wants to develop in our agile DevOps culture, passionate about security issues, and committed to a diverse range of tasks in systems engineering.
- The drive and power to navigate this newly created position, identify security gaps, and skillfully fend off potential attackers.
